Rathgar is situated in Lower Batson, a rural hamlet one mile from the popular fishing town of Salcombe, on one of the many creeks of the Salcombe/ Kingsbridge Estuary.  It has been owned by the same family since 1948.  We think it a very special place.  Certainly it has given us very many happy times, and we sincerely hope that it will do the same for you.    

 

The house (top right in the main photo above) is in an elevated, south-facing position, overlooking the head of Batson Creek and the village green.  Approached by car along a level, private drive, the property boasts ample parking, a good-sized, flat garden around the house and a deck area, with lovely views over the creek (see below).  A private path leads from the house down steps through an orchard and shrubbery to the village green.  Salcombe is a (flat) 10-minute walk away, along the banks of the estuary.  For further details on Rathgar’s location, click here.
